Devon, Original Team Member and Writer
Devon was raised by her adoptive parents in an amazing home in rural Iowa. In 1994, this 15 yr. old girl received a passion for missions after taking a trip with her youth group to Honduras, Central America. That was only the beginning of many more trips to come. All together she has been overseas 10 different times. After high school Devon achieved a degree in Graphic Design and then pursued Ministry Training at Rhema Bible Training Center. This is where she met and married her husband, Trent of now 6 years. Devon’s love for Mission work lead her to be involved with an educational, non-profit, Christian organization - Hearts In Action. Since then her and her husband have moved back to Trent’s home state of Arkansas and are pioneering Oasis Church. Trent is the pastor and Devon is overseeing the children’s ministry, much to her joy. Devon gave birth to their first child, a little boy, in September.
Kenika, Original Team Member and Writer
Born in Chicago, IL and the youngest of 3 siblings, Kenika moved to Orlando in May of 2002 from Holland, MI. She serves as a Program Coordinator and Administrative Assistant at a Christian, non-profit organization. Kenika accepted Christ at the tender age of 5 years old and has been serving him ever since. She moved to Orlando for several reasons: because of God's leading, the diverse people, and because she is not a cold weather girl!! She believes that Orlando is most likely where she always should have been! She loves to communicate whether it be talking, writing, emailing, or simply listening. Her greatest hope is to share the gospel with nonbelievers, and encourage believers to live the best life possible. She looks forward to being transparent with female readers and sharing bits and pieces of her life, experiences, and walk with Christ.
Sonya, Original Team Member and Writer
Sonya is currently raising three beautiful young girls in Iowa as a stay at home mom. Her girls are 4 ½ years, 2 ½ years and 2 months old and they are the joy of her life.
She has been married for seven wonderful years to an amazing man. She was born and raised in rural Iowa and her parents divorced when she was 12 years old. As both parents remarried, she now is the oldest of five, with two sisters and two brothers. In the meantime, she accepted the Lord in her heart at 18 years old and realized Jesus was the missing piece from her heart.
Sonya graduated college with her degree in communications. In college is where she met her husband on a blind date and found her soul mate to serve God with as one. The Lord gave her husband and her a passion to serve people overseas and spread the gospel. They started a ministry called “G.O. D. – Graber Outreach Development.” Sonya has been on three mission trips to Haiti, Ecuador, and South Africa. She plans to retire early and lead short- term mission teams with her husband in the future.
Sonya is currently involved with MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and participates in the community and several moms’ group. Sonya serves on the HIM (Holcomb International Ministries) board and Drake University American Family Friendship program, where she and her family host four international students from Malaysia and Indonesia.
She plans to challenge you, encourage you, and comfort you on this journey of life. Everything she shares with you is coming from her heart and she prays for each lady to be touched by God through this site.
