Refresh Others

Be refreshment for others!!!  There is not greater joy than loving on other people and refreshing their life by focusing on them.  Our aim should be waking up every morning asking God to bless someone today by our talk and actions.  If it is a simple “hi” or taking the time to listen just to be looking for opportunities to brighten that person’s day is a goal we should strive to have.  
 
There are many times, I have asked a cashier at the grocery store, “How is your day?”  Immediately they respond and tell me every detail and why they are having a good or bad day.  After that conversation their face gets brighter knowing someone cared to ask them about their day.  These types of opportunities refresh me in knowing that I have brightened a person’s day just by listening.  There are many people around us with empty hearts looking for someone or something to fill them and wouldn’t it be neat to be the one that fills their heart with joy and showing them God’s love.  God loves and values each one of us and we need to treat others like Christ would. 
 
My daughters have shown me so much in being a refreshment to others by their sweet innocent hearts of telling me I look beautiful when I just woke-up or saying I am the best mommy in the world after I just disciplined them.  Having this kindness in our heart comes from the Holy Spirit, which is the fruit in our life.  If we show kindness to one another then it can have a ripple effect and the next person could do the same and show that love and kindness to the next person.  How awesome would that be if that refreshment and kindness never gets lost and goes from one person to the next and returns back to you?  “Kindness nourishes the soul.” Proverbs 11:17.  Allow your life to overflow with kindness and watch the refreshment that it brings, as we are kind and loving to each other.
